After The Turkey Is Gone and The Football Is Over An Attitude of Gratitude Can Remain
Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. It’s simple, it’s delicious, and it’s intentions are for us to be in a state of gratitude throughout the day. Maybe you could use this Thanksgiving as the catalyst for being reminded each and every day about the things that you’re grateful for.
Me? I’m grateful for the fire my husband had going when I came home last night. Our home oozed of comfortable ease and soft glowing embers. I’m thankful for my father’s silly voice mail where he pretended to be Charles Lindbergh in a high pitched voice that reminded me more of Dustin Hoffman in Tootsie. I’m thankful for the fox that decided to cross my path on a clear night and then made eye contact with me for a few sacred seconds. I’m thankful for my dreams that bring me messages about life and how to live it.
One way to be in an attitude of gratitude more consistently, and not only one day a year, is to keep a gratitude journal. It’s a way to focus on all of the wonderful blessings that life has bestowed upon you. Even on our most challenging days, we can find those bright moments how ever fleeting they may seem.
Here are a few simple ideas for a gratitude journal:
1. Create a collage of photographs of all of the people in your life you’re grateful for. Take a photograph of your collage and send each person in the collage a quick email with the image attached telling them why they made it onto your gratitude collage. They will love receiving that special email.
2. Write a quick Haiku poem of gratitude for the day. In a Haiku, there are three lines. The first line and last line are five syllables in length and the middle line is seven syllables. The process of Haiku writing is much more complex than this, but I wanted to share a simple way to write them. Here’s an example of one of mine:
My Mother
flower of beauty
my soul’s musical heart song
life’s gift of safety
3. One last gratitude journal idea is to think of one idea that you are thankful for, and then write only verbal phrases to describe the idea. This type of writing can bring a clear visual image back into your mind and help you focus on the idea of gratitude and not on the other things about your day that you’d like to forget. For instance, here is what I wrote about the fox I saw the other night:
Mr. Fox
crossing the asphalt path, moving cautiously, stopping for headlights, freezing so not to be seen, darting away and over the hillside, searching for a next meal
Gifts of gratitude are always appreciated. We, at Seeds of Intentions, have a wonderful selection of gifts of thanksgiving. I’ve included a few in this post as well as in the video below. Be thankful and know that you are blessed.

Manifest Your Intentions With the Support of Our Thoughtful Gifts
What are intentions?
Intentions are desires that are created from a deep consciousness…a place inside of yourself that is your true essence. In the past, I was a goal setter which left the results of the goals and whether I achieved them or not up to me individually. I was on my own.
Setting intentions is different. It evokes the power of self in partnership with the universe. Intentions ignite limitless power that is available to you to create and manifest your deepest desires.
Steps to setting intentions:
1. Sit quietly and center yourself. This could be in the form of meditation, prayer, or just finding a space to be alone. Let yourself feel your way into your desires.
2. Write down those desires using the beginning statement: I intend to …
For instance, one of my intentions is “I intend to create a successful business that gives people tools to expand their consciousness, drop limited patterns, and heal themselves.”
3. After you’ve written your intentions, write down the reason for your intention. What is the purpose?
My reason for my intention about my business is “to live my physical, spiritual and emotional life wholistically. I want each moment of my day to be authentic and a reflection of who I am.”
4. Now, think about how the world will be a better place once your intentions have manifested.
After my intentions have manifested, the planet will be more conscious. Fear, hatred and depression will be replaced by peace, love and joy.
5. Finally, picture your intentions as if they have fully manifested. Get a clear picture of what you see, how you feel, who you meet, etc…
6. Let the miracles in and believe in your intentions.

Let Out the Old and Let In The New: Journal Writing Ideas for Releasing
Here’s quick writing journal ideas for letting out the old and letting in the new. You’ll need two pieces of paper. Two different colors are preferable. On one of the pieces of paper make a list of all of the negative blocks you have in your life that you would like to release. On the other remaining paper, write down those positive experiences you intend to create and be specific. The clearer your intentions the easier they are to manifest.
Now, create a sacred space for you to release and let in. You may want to light a luxury candle, put on beautiful healing music, burn incense, and/or say a prayer. Hold the first piece of paper in your hand. Send the energy of gratitude to the experiences you’re releasing. Those negative blocks had lessons that were embedded in them and deserve acknowledgment. Then in a fireplace or other safe space, light the “releasing paper” and send it back into the universe with love.
Finally, take the piece paper you wrote your intentions on. Place it in a prominent place within your home or office. It should be in a space that you can readily see and access. Each day reread what you wrote and be reminded of those experiences you intend to bring into your life.
Happy releasing and joyous creating!

The Power of Intention – on Work -A daily journal writing blog – Day 4
I am officially using the power of intention in this daily journal writing blog to set my intentions in regards to today’s journal writing topics on work.
I just started doing some new work for a friend yesterday and the intentions I set for this work are already in motion as I set them a few days ago. I am just unable now to sit down and get them into our daily journal writing blog and include it in the journal writing topics.
I’ve noticed that the power of intention is even greater when your intentions are truly heartfelt, light and fun. The intentions I set in regards to doing this work were this:
- To have fun. To be highly productive, inspired and creative and to allow not only what the business needs but more importantly what the end user of the product I am working on needs to flow through me. I intend to take what I “think” out of the way and allow what I “feel” is for the “highest good” to inspire me.
- I want to be in harmony with all that I interact with and truly intend to only see the best in everyone and inspire the best in everyone because that is truly the truth of us all!
- I love that I am so wholly gifted and that I am able to contribute in SO many ways…and that I am so wholly appreciated in so many ways as well!
- I love that I can do what I love to do in regards to work…its play time for me!
If yesterday is any indication of the power of intention, then I’m all
on board! I was filled with joy, inspiration and appreciation for being a part of something new and introducing myself into a whole new circle of people (which was my intention the other day in regards to attracting new relationships!). My “channels” of joy are WIDE OPEN! The flood gates are open!
I have another book recommendation for you too! I have had You Can Heal Your Life by Louise Hay for some time now. I pick it up every now and then for reference. Last night I picked it up and started to read some chapters in the middle of the book and of course I was brought to the topics on this
very thing (Law of Attraction at work gang, whether you want to believe it or not!).
There is so much I appreciate about what I read and have found it to be extremely helpful!
Thanks for joining me today for The Power of Intention and our daily journal writing blog. Like we say at Seeds of Intentions “Plant Yours Today!”

Service and Healing versus Helping and Fixing
As a holistic, integrated energy therapy (IET) practitioner this topic is appreciated. I just read an inspiring account in Norma Gentile’s newsletter http://www.healingchants.com about healing and service.
One of the reasons I do not ask clients to voice their ailments but rather their intentions is to get closer to spirit. As mentioned in the link above, “fixing” thwarts the path of another. I always let the client spirit lead the way. Root causes that are gently tapped into often allow for the gentle and easy unfolding of issues that may have manifested physical symptoms, addictions or intense behaviors.
Reawakening the roots by clearing imprints and energies allows the natural way to unfold. It is not always necessary to have a “fix”. But usually it finds its own way.

The Power of Intention – New Relationships -Day 2
Ok. So I am committed to setting my own intentions and appreciating the power of intentions every day that I can. I am committed to daily journal writing in this blog we are cultivating in order to set my powerful intentions.
I am also appreciating that I am using the power of intention and my awareness of the Law of Attraction and Power vs. Force to do this. In doing this I intend to be an example to all that are interested in setting intentions as to how one might go about this in a daily journal writing practice.
Today I am using the power of intention to attract a whole new circle of friends and relationships into my life:
I wholly appreciate people who are in harmony with me but also diversely and uniquely different than I. I thoroughly delight in people that are bright, creative, inspired, gracious, up beat, abundant creators. I love their sense of humor and their unique perspective on life! I also love that our discussionsand time spent getting to know one another is balanced, genuinely inquisitive, and lots of fun! I love how at ease we are together and that we ignite a whole new way of being in this world simply from being in each other’s presence.
How’s that for intention!?!
Again, I intend to be a powerful contributor to help others create the life that they want. I am simply presenting a possible example of this to you.
The Power of Intention combined with daily journal writing is a deliberately creative way to begin to take responsibility for and control of your life and create the life you want for yourself!

The Power of Intention – A place for daily journal writing
Seeds of Intentions, welcomes you to
this daily intention setting journal to “Plant Yours Today”!
Growing Instructions:
1. Plant your seeds (of intentions, or that which you care to create and experience and call forth into your life).
2. Water with intent. (Meaning focus your attention in a heartfelt, light, happy appreciative manner on that which you intend for yourself).
3. Watch for the budding seedlings. (They may show up in many ways in the form of coincidence, synchronicity and manifestation. It’s simply a sign that you are “tuning in” to the frequency of that which you want or intend.)
4. Practice conscious living. Pay attention to where your thoughts are going and how you are feeling or acting. If you are focused in a positive easy going manner on your intentions, you are a powerful creator. If not, you need to “change your mind” every time your mind leads you in a direction you do not want to go. Negative emotion is a sure sign you’re headed away from what you want on any topic.
Daily journal writing is a powerful way to set the intentions you have for your life, today, this week or this year. The intention of this daily journal writing post is to invite you to come here often to place a daily intention for yourself and to assist you in understanding how it is you get what you get in your life and how you can deliberately create that which you intend and what you truly want.
The other power of intention we are setting in this community journal is that we are here to help uplift and provide life affirming guidance and direction to our fellow journal writers and “gardeners” (all you seeds of intentions sowers).
Once we all start these powerful intentions in motion, we’re going to
have to go fill up our Law of Attraction Synchronicity blog with our vast stories of manifestation and fun and wondrous stories of synchronicity and coincidence.
