Expect Miracles!
The greatest miracle is the opening of the human heart to the generosity of God.
Father Keating
I love hearning stories of miraculous events that have occurred around the world such as Mother Mary protecting the town in Bosnia, Medugorie. It was spared harm during the civil war even though it was three short miles from the front lines. At one point, bombs were even dropped on Medugorie; however, miraculously they never detonated. Images of Mother Mary have been witnessed in the town since 1981 until presently. Today one can visit Medugorie to witness the miracle firsthand.
When I heard this story, I had the same feeling of wonder I had as a child waking up on Christmas morning to find presents left from Santa under the
tree. Miracles strengthen my belief in possibility. That is why Seeds of Intentions has selected miracles as the focus of December. For some reason, the world is a little more accepting of miracles this time of the year.
My husband and I recently experienced a miracle of our own. Last month, we had some financial blockages and were needing the flow of money to once again release. My husband went to pick up the mail one day and unexpectedly, within the pile of mail, was a check for $800. Neither of us recognized the sender nor the company that printed the check. Initially , because a temporary lack of faith, we both thought the check had to be a scam. Curiousity got the best of us though, and we took the check to the bank. Low and behold, the check was legitimate. As we left the bank, the two of us marveled at our miraculous blessing.
With so many people these days, driven by the media, I have observed a sense of hopelessness. It seems to me that strength has wavered. But I am here to tell you that today more than ever, we must hold onto our knowing, our belief in the improbable, and our soft spot in the center of our being.
We must expect miracles. They are not only possible, they are essential. God’s work, when accepted, will surpass our limited human constructs every time…just look at what God accomplished with Jesus.
So, please open your heart to the wonderment that life has to offer. Look for signs that you are not alone. Expect miracles around the next corner…or in your mailbox.
At Seeds of Intentions, you are our miracles. You support our vision to inspire others and to live in authenticity for the good of all. We never take for granted the gifts that we receive. Thank you from the deepest part of our hearts. May your December and the coming year be flooded with miracles.

Let Out the Old and Let In The New: Journal Writing Ideas for Releasing
Here’s quick writing journal ideas for letting out the old and letting in the new. You’ll need two pieces of paper. Two different colors are preferable. On one of the pieces of paper make a list of all of the negative blocks you have in your life that you would like to release. On the other remaining paper, write down those positive experiences you intend to create and be specific. The clearer your intentions the easier they are to manifest.
Now, create a sacred space for you to release and let in. You may want to light a luxury candle, put on beautiful healing music, burn incense, and/or say a prayer. Hold the first piece of paper in your hand. Send the energy of gratitude to the experiences you’re releasing. Those negative blocks had lessons that were embedded in them and deserve acknowledgment. Then in a fireplace or other safe space, light the “releasing paper” and send it back into the universe with love.
Finally, take the piece paper you wrote your intentions on. Place it in a prominent place within your home or office. It should be in a space that you can readily see and access. Each day reread what you wrote and be reminded of those experiences you intend to bring into your life.
Happy releasing and joyous creating!

Contrast Is The Spice In Life, No Contrast Is Life
If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant; if we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome.
Anne Bradstreet
Before I really came into any serious spiritual awareness about life (which, by the way, came into my life like a fire hose on crack in my early 40′s) I always “knew” or had a sense that contrast in life was essential. The Teachings of Abraham appreciate the same thing.
Contrast is more than just the spice of life …it is life. When you begin to “feel” that we all come from the same source then you may begin to appreciate that that one source wanted to shake it up a little. When you’re the only “gig” in town you want to experience all that is possible!

Keeping Dream Journals Leads to Illumination
Messages and spiritual illuminations come in many guises and from many directions. It’s up to each one of us to pay attention to the daily gifts the universe sends. For some, insight arrives in dreams. I know for myself that I am blessed with vivid dreams often and am able to be in a lucid state during some of them. A lucid dream is one in which the dreamer is aware that she is dreaming and can be a by-stander or even control aspects of the dream.
A spiritual teacher of mine, Stephanie Stanfield, once explained that the universe is pleased when we acknowledge our dreams. It’s a message to God, our angels, and our guides that we hear what they are saying.
Keeping dream journals is one way to honor the universe. To get started, you just need to decide how you are going to utilize the dream journals. Some people choose to set an intention before they go to sleep in order to remember their dream. An intention might be, “Tonight, I will dream and when I wake up, I will recall the details of my dreams.”
Another way to keep a dream journal is to journal before falling asleep. Write down in your journal questions about any areas in your life that you would like some clarity. Upon rising, write down your dream and see if there are any connections between your dream and the questions. You might recall an image that connects to your question or maybe you might see repeating phrases that resonate with you.
Creating visual journals of a dream is my own preferred way to gain insight from my dreams. After awaking from sleep, I look through magazines and find words or phrases that capture the essence of my dream. Then I write about the visual journal I created. This particular method of keeping a dream journal seems to hold or solidify my dreams longer.
No matter which technique you use, keeping a record of your dreams will help illuminate new understandings. Honor the messages your receive, and you’ll be surprised how often the universe responds. Before long, your nights will be filled with amazing dreams that will inspire you. You’ll be that person that walks around each day saying, “You’ll never believe the dream I had last night!”
Michael Franti sings, “Don’t fear the nighttime, because the monsters know you’re divine.”
You are divine. Embrace the night and be awed by the illuminations that shine in the darkness.

You Deserve To Be Seen…You Deserve To Be Heard
As I was riding my bike to work today, in my quiet rhythmic cadence of the peddles, I heard the words, “You deserve to be seen.” It took me by surprise in a lovely way. I do deserve to be seen. I am unique perfection of God’s love.
Guess what? You deserve to be seen in your own humanness. You deserve to be celebrated and your qualities illuminated. Come on people, let your light shine! See and be seen!
After this initial burst of knowing that was gifted to me this morning, I thought about our Grandmother’s movie event that we just finished co-sponsoring at Seeds of Intentions. Each participant was asked to share any thoughts that have come to us since the weekend. I’m not sure if I needed more time to process, but no words seemed adequate…that is until today.
The honored guests and the participants deserve to be seen and for many indigenous people, they have felt invisible and forgotten. They deserve to be heard in their soul songs. So the rest of this blog is a homage to those elders, grandmothers and other invited guests.
Rita, you are seen in your gentleness and quiet spirit that whispers peace is coming…peace is here. You are heard in your wishes that float upward where ancestors commune.
Beatrice, you are heard through your booming voice that explodes then tickles. You are heard through your teasing eyes that shine with coyote medicine.
Nathan, you are seen in your pureness of heart that opens doors, and you are seen in your embrace of acceptance for those different than you.
Aloysius, you are seen in your cautionary stance, and heard through your gathered wounds that you have carried so others can be free.
Kerry, you are seen in your warrioress power that commands a following. You are heard through your eagle cry and your human tears.
Davian, you are seen in your soul’s dance where movement melds with spirit and where youth’s innocence collides with ancient knowledge.
Joy, you are seen, not as wife of, but woman as. You are heard in your silence and forgiveness.
Mary, you are seen in your radiating smile that emits God is near. You are heard in your between worlds voice that knows where you’ve been and where you are going.
Jonas, you are heard in your silence that echoes louder than words. You are seen in your regal somberness that reflects a long and difficult journey.
Loya, you are seen in motherly proudness that releases ancient barriers for the women still to come and are seen in your nuturance that is spread to generations.
Christinia, you are seen in your steady gate and nurturing heart. You are heard through your undying advocacy for your people.
Troylynn, you are seen in the strength of your stature and the confidence in your stride. You are heard in the wisdom of your teachings and the wisdom of your intuition.
To all who participated as witnesses, you are seen in your reverent beauty that held universal intent, that healed beyond imagination, and rippled through heaven and earth.
Everyone deserves to be seen. Everyone deserves to be heard. Today, you are being called to see one another’s unique perfection. Today, you are being called to listen to one another’s soul songs. Heed the call!

Welcoming Baby Ceremonies…The Story of Maxi’s Ceremony
“You are the goddess mother. You have mothered me. You called me in my dark times and loved me like a mother would love a child. Even though you don’t have children of your own, you are my mother goddess, and I want you to be Max’s mother goddess. A goddess mother guides the “child mother” which I am and helps me to be the best mommy I can be.” These words were spoken to me through misty eyes one night before Max was born. My friend and Nia teacher, Julie, and I were chatting about the birth of her first baby. Being the newly selected mother goddess, I felt strongly that the baby should be welcomed once he was born and celebrated within his community. Julie and I talked about what that would be, how it would look, and I found myself offering to host the event. I had never been to any welcoming baby ceremonies, so leading one was new territory. However, I felt up to the task.
In the beginning, I just allowed for ideas to come in. Envisioning myself as the vessel of Gods plan for this ceremony was the approach I used. The very first idea came to me one morning as I was waking up. I saw clearly a white room with white candles, white clothing, and a white blanket. To me, the white symbolized innocence and newness of life. Several weeks later the second idea emerged…a white blanket for Max to lay upon and all of Max’s community surrounding him in the circle. As I sat with that image, it became clearer. The blanket became the focal point, and attached to the blanket was ribbon. I saw each person holding a piece of the ribbon. The community was showing its connection and love toward Max.
Clearer and clearer pieces of the welcoming ceremony came together as the weeks passed until a complete picture surfaced. I knew my intention was to provide Maxi and his parents with a space to celebrate the blessing of a new life, a space to solidify the sense of community, and a space where love for Max could be held and collected. My intention was luminous. An unwavering thought that manifested brilliantly.
Since the ceremony has passed, I have thought often of the organic process that occurred while planning. I felt my way through each step and stayed open to receiving what the universe was offering. Because of all of the positive emotion that I was emitting around the event, the manifestation was flawlessly realized. I have learned that staying open and trusting is the way to manifest what it is that I want.
May I continue to create experiences in my life that manifest through love and faith. May you find ways to do this as well.

5 Tips on Giving Some of the Most Thoughtful Gifts Your Family and Friends Have Ever Received
When purchasing a gift for another, think about the most thoughtful gifts you can give? Why…because those are the gifts that will be remembered and the ones that touch the heart. Here are 5 tips on giving the most thoughtful gifts.
- Keep it simple. Most thoughtful gifts don’t have to be elaborate. Really, they just have to have meaning for the recipient.
- Listen to your loved ones. What are they speaking about, what are they interested in? When you give a gift that truly fits the people you love, it can’t help but be meaningful.
- Personalize the thoughtful gift. Write a note that describes why you selected the gift. The time you take to share the significance of the gift is well worth it.
- Think ahead. Give yourself time to find just what you’re looking for. A last minute gift often lacks thoughtfulness.
- If you can, give the gift face to face. Your family and friends will appreciate the gesture so much more if it comes directly from you. Take time to give the gift yourself.

All You Need Is 5 Words- Simple Journal Writing Ideas
One of my favorite journal writing ideas to help with the journaling process is an activity I learned when I taught elementary school. It was a tip for the reluctant writer in your classroom…we’ve all been there before right? It’s truly simple and can be done in a variety of ways.
Here’s what you do:
- find your writing journals
- take a magazine (you can look through your favorite book, a newspaper, etc..) and randomly select five words
- don’t worry if they go together, just find words that are calling to you
- tear them out and put them in the order that most speaks to you
- that is the title for your journal entry
- spend 15-20 minutes journaling about that title and see what insight comes to you as you get out of your own way
This is what I was inspired to write after I selected my five words today:
Tough Stuff, Ultimate Rewards, Pure
The first thing that comes to my mind when I think about these five words is sometimes we’re handed some Tough Stuff in life. Stuff that we’d rather not have to deal with. Right now, I think my Tough Stuff relates to holding space for the aging process of my mother. She is living with a form of Parkinson’s called Lewy Body Disease. Tough? I’d say! She has gone from a spunky, energizer bunny to a weary although still spunky, forgetful, and often confused woman. I would definitely rather not deal with this in my life or in hers.
The next two words, Ultimate Rewards, seems so contradictory next to Tough Stuff. How do the words, Ultimate Rewards, have anything to do with the things in life I’d rather not deal with right now. Well, here’s my take on it. Through my mom’s prognosis, although it’s been challenging, there are some Ultimate Rewards as well. The first one that comes to mind is the reward of appreciation. On the days my mother is spunky and says what’s on her mind, energized by a shopping trip to her favorite store, or even performing at an impromptu karoke night in my living room, I am overwhelmed by appreciation for that moment in time when my mother returns to her “normal self”. That is an ultimate reward. Another reward is the closeness that my family and I have experienced during this time. We’ve said more loving and tender things the past few years than I can remember in the past forty. No one waits to say what needs to be said. “I love you,” which was a rarity before is a frequent expression in my family.
The last word, Pure, makes me think that as we experience our Tough Stuff and receive the Ultimate Rewards a sense of purity of spirit and heart emerge. It’s when I’m in the midst of Tough Stuff that my greatest Ultimate Rewards occur and my Pureness shines.
How’s that for a five word quick journal activity? It’s amazing what a simple gesture can produce. Happy writing!
