Inspirational Word Bars Offer Journal Writing Prompts and Topics for Consideration
We want to let you know about some great new unique gifts we’ve added to our line of thoughtful, meaningful and inspirational gift selections. This week we’ve added the hand crafted artistry of Tamara Hensick.

This unique handmade gift offers words of wellbeing, encouragement and inspiration. The designer Tamara Hensick uses whimsical wordplay and symbolism that blend magically into a sculpture made of pewter to create inspirational themes for the special times in our lives.
This unique handmade gift offers inspirational words on each side of the bar. Every day that you sit down for your daily journal writing use one of each of these inspirations as a journal writing prompt, topic or idea to launch you into a whole other realm of awareness and consideration. The following are the words on each side of the bar.
- Your Life Is A Work Of Art-Create It
- Your Life Is A Journey-Go With It
- Your Life Is A Gift-Enjoy It
- Your Life Is A Lesson- Learn From It
This hand crafted work of art Word Bar measures 6” long and is finely crafted of pewter.
To Inspire Journal Writing Ideas…a Reflective Poem
My friend Patrick Curry and I have many conversations about personal growth and observations about our lives. We discuss the patterns we see from our lives and consider how to release and transform them. We also see opportunity to take what we’ve learned from one successful transformation and applying it to another change we wish to make.
Following is a poem inspired by those conversations. I’m sure it will inspire you in your reflective journal writing and personal growth endeavors.
Where, oh where, have I been?
And
Where, oh where, am I going? Will I change as the seasons? Change continually into the next, then the next, freeze, die, grow, thrive, shrivel, waste, die again to be born again.
Must I, will I, do I want to cycle like the birds from north to south, return?
Or
Ride the streams down as do great fish, only to climb ladders to return, create the next of me, die in the place of my birth.Carving paths, machete drawn, through growth, jungle growth, believing treasures await only the persistent, plodding, penetrating, productive. Is this how I grow?
Do I stop, now, call this place home, claim sanctuary, stay safe?
Or
Move out on onto the mountain, scale, decend, scale again, fail again, try again, rest only for a while, push the hand of death to witness the face of my mortality.
Are these the ways I learn to become, and if so, become what?
Are any of these places my destiny?
And
Will any these paths lead me to my freedom? The place of freedom lies just beyond the realm of fear
within the purview of Providence and as yet, unknown to me.Written by Patrick Curry

Daily journal writing is a powerful way to set the intentions you have for your life, today, this week or this year. The intention of this daily journal writing post is to invite you to come here often to place a daily intention for yourself and to assist you in understanding how it is you get what you get in your life and how you can deliberately create that which you intend and what you truly want.
The other power of intention we are setting in this community journal is that we are here to help uplift and provide life affirming guidance and direction to our fellow journal writers and “gardeners” (all you seeds of intentions sowers).
